Instead of metal brackets and wires, a series of custom-made, virtually invisible plastic trays gradually move your teeth into position – each worn for one to two weeks before moving to the next in the series.
Clear aligners suit most patients dealing with mild to moderate crowding, gaps, or bite issues. They’re removable for eating and brushing, far less noticeable in daily life and meetings, and typically require fewer in-clinic adjustment visits than traditional wires. For complex bite corrections or younger patients still growing, our orthodontists may still recommend traditional wires and braces – we assess each case individually rather than pushing one solution for everyone.
What Treatment Looks Like
Treatment starts with a full assessment – X-rays, scans or impressions, and a discussion of what you want to change. From there we map out the full sequence of aligners and the expected timeline, which for most adult cases runs anywhere from six months to just under two years, depending on how much movement is needed.
Because aligners are removable, results depend heavily on wearing them as prescribed – typically 20 to 22 hours a day. Patients who are consistent see steady, predictable progress at each review visit.
