Straighter teeth, a better bite — at any age.

Fixed braces are still the most dependable way to correct crowding, gaps and bite problems. Our orthodontist plans every case from records and X-rays, then adjusts it visit by visit until the teeth are where they should be.

What braces fix

More than a cosmetic change

Crooked or crowded teeth are harder to clean, wear unevenly and can strain the jaw over time. Braces apply gentle, steady pressure through brackets and a wire, moving teeth gradually into better alignment.

Treatment usually takes between 12 and 24 months depending on the case, with adjustment visits roughly every four to six weeks. After braces come off, a retainer keeps the result stable.

  • Metal braces — strong, reliable and the most economical option
  • Ceramic braces — tooth-coloured brackets that are far less noticeable
  • Clear aligners also available for suitable adult cases

Signs braces could help

  • Crowded, overlapping or rotated teeth
  • Gaps between teeth
  • Overbite, underbite, crossbite or open bite
  • Difficulty biting or chewing comfortably

Children are best assessed around age 7–8, but adults can be treated just as successfully — healthy teeth move at any age.

FAQs

Braces — common questions

Do braces hurt?

There's mild soreness for a few days after the braces go on and after each adjustment. It settles quickly and is easily managed with soft food and ordinary pain relief.

Am I too old for braces?

No. As long as your teeth and gums are healthy, braces work for adults too. Many adult patients choose ceramic braces or aligners because they're less visible.

Metal or ceramic — which is better?

Both move teeth equally well. Metal is the most durable and economical; ceramic blends in with your teeth. We'll suggest what suits your case and budget.

Will I need a retainer?

Yes. Teeth tend to drift back after treatment, so a retainer — fixed, removable or both — is part of every braces plan.
