Rebuild a damaged tooth. Replace a missing one.

A crown covers and protects a weakened tooth; a bridge fills the gap left by a missing one. Both are made to match the shape and shade of your natural teeth, using digital scans for an accurate fit.

Crowns

When a tooth needs a crown

Teeth with large fillings, cracks or root canal treatment lose much of their strength. A crown — a custom cap over the whole visible tooth — protects what remains and restores normal chewing.

We offer zirconia, all-ceramic (E-max) and metal-ceramic crowns. Zirconia is very strong for back teeth; all-ceramic gives the most natural look at the front. We'll recommend what fits the tooth and your budget.

  • Zirconia, all-ceramic and metal-ceramic options
  • Digital 3D scans for precise fit
  • Shade-matched to neighbouring teeth

Bridges

Filling the gap of a missing tooth

  • A bridge uses the teeth on either side of a gap as supports
  • Fixed in place — no removing at night
  • Usually completed in two or three visits
  • An implant may be better when neighbouring teeth are healthy

We'll always talk you through the bridge-versus-implant choice, because the right answer depends on the health of the teeth around the gap.

FAQs

Crowns & Bridges — common questions

How long do crowns last?

With good care, crowns commonly last 10–15 years or more. Regular check-ups, brushing and flossing around the crown margin make the biggest difference.

Is getting a crown painful?

The tooth is numbed while it is prepared, so the procedure shouldn't hurt. Some sensitivity for a few days is normal.

Which crown is best — zirconia or ceramic?

Zirconia is extremely strong and suits back teeth and heavy biters; all-ceramic is the most lifelike for front teeth. Metal-ceramic is a dependable budget option.

Bridge or implant?

A bridge needs the neighbouring teeth to be trimmed; an implant doesn't touch them. If the neighbours already have large fillings or crowns, a bridge can make good sense.
